We’re on the lookout for a compassionate and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Leeds. This is a contracted role, perfect for someone who’s passionate about helping young learners with additional needs thrive — and wants to gain even more experience in a supportive school setting.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), helping them to access learning and build confidence
2. Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support
3. Creating calm, structured routines that help children feel safe and ready to learn
4. Bringing positivity, patience, and a sense of fun to every day
What we’re looking for:
5. Experience working with children or young people (in schools, youth work, or similar)
6. Understanding of SEN such as autism, ADHD, or social and emotional needs
7. A caring, adaptable attitude and genuine enthusiasm for helping children succeed
