Raigmore Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist to join the Oncology Pharmacy Team at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, previous winner of the Pharmacy Team of the year, on a bank basis. The Oncology Pharmacy Team at Raigmore Hospital provides specialist cancer services for NHS Highland as part of the North Cancer Alliance (NCA), treating patients with solid tumours and haematological malignancies. The Raigmore Hospital Cancer Care team also has a broad research portfolio and participates in a wide range of cancer clinical trials.

You will join a team committed to the development of services to cancer patients and will be given the opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge and skills within a challenging but supportive environment. You will gain experience across pharmacy oncology and haematology services including; clinical services, cancer clinical trials services and the electronic chemotherapy prescribing system (Chemocare), as well as operational aspects of aseptic dispensing services.

You will be a GPhC registered pharmacist with excellent communication and inter-personal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

1. Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
