About the Role
Kaikōura Health are looking for a full-timeKaiāwhina (Health Care Assistant) to join our wonderful rural kapa (team). Thisis a great opportunity to tautoko (support) and give back to your community -please indicate in your cover letter which role(s) you are interested in.
This role varies from day to day depending on therequirements of Kaikōura Health, but ultimately you will be there to work incollaboration with the nursing teams to make sure that the facility is runningsmoothly and to its highest potential; in both Long Term Care and the MedicalAcute area. This could mean preforming a variety of tasks supporting thenursing team to provide manaaki and awhina to both residents and tūroro(patients) with personal cares and their activities of daily living.
This includes:
* Assistance with meals
* Moving and handling
* Cleaning and tidying theward, stocking and supply ordering
About You
You will have the following skills to be successfulin this role:

* Ability to communicate andbuild relationships with people from all walks of life
* You will have a kind andcaring nature
* A strong work ethic is anintegral part of this role. The areas can be a challenging and busy workenvironment so your ability to multi task and use your initiative will bekey to this role.
