The successful Cell Leader will be able to commute to Huddersfield from surrounding towns and cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day‑to‑day running of the Assembly area, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
* Manage, support, and motivate a team of 8‑15 employees, acting as the first point of contact.
* Plan and organise workloads to meet production targets, ensuring clear priorities and sufficient work for each shift.
* Monitor and maintain quality, cost, and delivery performance in line with business objectives.
* Drive continuous improvement activities (5S, Kaizen) while maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards.
* Oversee team administration, including attendance, training plans, and maintaining skills matrices.
Working Hours
* 37.5 hours per week

Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with strong hands‑on assembly experience.
* Previous team leadership or people management experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Good understanding of Health & Safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement methods.
* Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
