Job Summary
We are a growing domiciliary care provider delivering personalised, high-quality care to clients in their own homes. Based in Essex, we're expanding our private client base and are now seeking a capable and driven Business & Operations Lead to help take the service to the next level.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role with real autonomy and influence in a developing care service.
You will oversee the day-to-day running of the branch, support and supervise staff, maintain compliance, and lead local business development. If you're experienced in care operations and excited by the idea of helping grow a service from the inside out, we want to hear from you
Responsibilities
* Drive initiatives to grow the client base and expand the business.
* Lead daily service operations, including staff scheduling and rotas
* Manage and support care staff through supervision, mentoring and spot checks
* Ensure full compliance with CQC standards and company policies
* Carry out care assessments, reviews, and maintain accurate documentation
* Build strong relationships with clients and families
* Take the lead in local business development, including marketing and networking
* Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and retention of staff
* Report regularly to the Director on progress, risks and growth opportunities
Requirements
* Experience in domiciliary care (e.g. care coordinator, deputy manager, branch manager)
* Strong knowledge of CQC compliance and care delivery standards
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* A commercial mindset and interest in helping grow a care business
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (required)
Qualifications
* Master's degree in Leadership & Management or equivalent
* Experience in recruitment and staff development
* Track record of growing or developing a care service
* Confidence to take ownership and grow into a senior leadership role
* Proven experience in a managerial role within business operations or a related field.
* Strong understanding of operational processes, project management methodologies, and performance metrics.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
* Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
* Proficient in using various software tools for data analysis, reporting, and project management.
* Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
