Job Title: Finance Team Lead - R2R

The job
To lead the Regional Shared Service Centre, Record to Report function. Proactively manage and drive high-performing, standardised service delivery ensuring effective controls resulting in strong customer service.
To support the implementation of programmes of continuous improvement within finance.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
1. Manage a high performing small team optimising performance and commitment by setting goals and agreeing objectives
2. Supporting the adaptability and flexibility of workload and team movements to facilitate high levels of customer service across the SSC managing working hours where required to cover Regional time zones
3. Maintain close relationships with customer/stakeholder groups, monitoring and seeking feedback on team performance, providing resolution of issues and agreeing improvement plans as required.
4. Support and input to a programme of continuous improvement delivery so that best practice is embedded, and efficiencies are delivered.
5. Manage the performance of the R2R function ensuring that processes are standardised, documented and that KPIs are used to demonstrate delivery with service levels being met or exceeded
6. Ensure all policy and legal requirements are adhered to by operating within a framework of compliance, which protects customers and the team and minimises risk to the business
7. Ensure the integrity of financial records for all relevant entities, raising issues where there is any deviation
8. Team activities include:providing financial, regulatory and tax information. responsibility will be timely, effective and efficient processing of general ledger-related transactions including fixed assets and journal entries.reconciliation of general ledger accounts and subledgers and performing period end closing activities including accruals, revenue recognition and reporting and essential controlling and bank activities.
Skills, know-how and experience:
Must have:
9. Strong sense of integrity always does the right thing and encourages others to behave in the same way.
10. Good understanding of finance systems
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to manage a team.
12. Able to operate comfortably at a detailed as well as a Managerial level.
13. Strong experience of understanding and interpreting control and operational risk
Preferred:
14. Experience of an SSC environment
15. Experience in managing a team preferably in a shared services environment
16. Additional language skills
Technical / professional qualifications:
17. Accounting or Business Administration qualifications
18. Strong MS Office, Excel and Oracle knowledge as well as experience in the Business and Accounting systems used in the function.
