About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of Healthcare to join our team at HMP Whatton, a category C men's Prison located in the village of Whatton, near Bingham in Nottinghamshire.
As a Deputy Head of Healthcare, you will oversee evidence based patient care, operational service delivery, data integrity, and ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and CQC requirements. Your responsibilities include:
* Providing outstanding evidence–based care to patients by seeking out, listening to and acting on feedback so that patient engagement is at the centre of service delivery.
* Providing day‑to‑day operational service delivery and data with integrity, delivered in a timely manner to meet commissioner expectations.
* Delivering non‑judgemental, compassionate care within the financial framework that is safe, high quality and in line with CQC requirements.
* Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures and compliance with statutory responsibilities whilst driving excellence.
Hours
Monday – Friday: core office hours.
Salary
Full time position with an annual salary up to £53,754 per annum.

Qualifications required
* Clinical qualification – NMC.
* Inclusive leadership approach embedding a culture of continuous progression and innovation.
* Significant experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Strong presentation skills.
* Ability to influence and deliver information to key partners and stakeholders.
* Experience as a CQC registered manager, or equivalent registered body.
* Experience managing multifaceted budgets.
* Experience of client management or meeting commissioner expectations.
* Experience developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills including sophisticated report writing and ability to articulate viewpoint in formal meetings.
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
