The CAMHS HEAD 2 HEAD team is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed CAMHS Senior Mental Health Practitioner (e.g., clinical nurse specialist or equivalent) to join the team.
Applicants should hold a professional qualification and have experience working with young people who display harmful sexual behaviour. An interest in the needs of those involved in the Youth Justice system, with co-existing substance use difficulties, or presenting with First Onset Psychosis and At Risk Mental State, is desirable.
Please note: Applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. The costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The DBS application fee is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), deducted over the first two months of employment. We encourage enrolment in the DBS Update Service, with an annual fee of £16.
The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments and interventions for young people and their families, providing consultation around HSB cases, and delivering HSB training to professionals. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
