Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Seasonal Grounds Assistant to join our Estates Team. You will support our team who are responsible for the management of 1000 acre estate which includes; two Championship Golf Courses, a FIFA and UEFA-standard football pitch, and extensive landscaped gardens. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and wants to gain hands-on experience in grounds and estate maintenance.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of two golf courses, including set up
* Support the preparation and care of the football pitch to the highest standards
* Maintain gardens, landscaped areas, and general estate grounds
* Operate and maintain groundskeeping machinery and tools safely
* Carry out routine tasks such as mowing, strimming, edging, watering, and debris clearance
* Assist with seasonal projects such as aeration, fertilisation, and turf renovation
* Ensure all areas are presented to a high standard at all times
* Follow health and safety procedures and report any hazards
What We’re Looking For
* Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Good teamwork and communication skills
* Positive, proactive attitude
* Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or greenkeeping (desirable but not essential)
* Basic knowledge of turf care and horticulture is an advantage
* Ability to operate machinery such as mowers and strimmers (training can be provided)
Due to the rural location of Carden Park, applicants should have access to a vehicle or reliable transport methods. We also have some onsite accomodation available.
Up to £12.71 per hour plus extensive benefits.
