Salary: £22,952 - £23,551 per annum
Contract: Fixed term contract (end date 31 March 2027) with potential for extension

The Assistant Reserves Officer (North Bucks) will help nature recover by directly working towards habitat management objectives across a suite of reserves covering woodland, wetland and floodplain meadow habitats.
This will provide an exciting opportunity to work within a close knit, friendly team committed to nature conservation.
What you’ll be doing;
* Undertaking on-site management of the nature reserves; estate and
* conservation management in accordance with DEFRA Cross compliance rules, site management plans and agri-environment schemes.
* Planning and leading practical volunteer work sessions to achieve key management objectives.
* Ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of vehicles, tools and machinery within the Trust.
* Maintenance and repairs of visitor access infrastructure including paths, hides and gateways. Carrying out access audits.
* Seek to maintain positive relationships with neighbouring landowners, members of the public, volunteers and contractors including graziers.
What we’re looking for;
* Experience in applied nature conservation management with proven practical conservation skills.
* Transferable qualifications including chainsaw and outdoor first aid.
* The ability to deal with the public, Trust members and volunteers in a friendly and professional manner, in a variety of situations.
* Strong leadership skills to aid in the undertaking of practical volunteer work session
* Organised and efficient, with the ability to be flexible and respond to changing circumstances
