About the School:
Liverpool College is a mixed ability 4-19 Academy of some 1660 pupils. The College is situated on a leafy 28-acre campus located in the Mossley Hill area of Liverpool adjacent to Sefton Park. The College was founded in 1840 and was a founding member of the Headmaster's Conference and was a fee-paying school until September 2013, when it became an all-through academy for pupils aged 4 to 19 years old. The College also offers state boarding provision. In the last few years, it has become one of the most over-subscribed schools in the North of England. The College is a diverse, multi-faith inclusive school which draws pupils and staff from every community in the Merseyside region and we are determined to become a beacon of excellence in educational practices of inclusion, anti-racism, and equity. About the Role
To lead and be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the After School provision at Liverpool College providing high standards of care and play opportunities for children in the Pre-Prep, in a safe and secure environment. This role is 10 hours per week Term Time Only.
* To lead the day-to-day management and organisation of the After School Club
* To provide line management to a team of learning support assistants/play workers, directing the work of staff based at the After School Club, supervising their activities and inducting new staff members.
* Work with all staff to ensure and provide care, play opportunities and activities in a homely, nurturing, and safe environment, with regard to the individual development needs of the children
* To ensure the welfare of pupils and if necessary ensure intimate care needs are met
* To lead and motivate a team of staff to deliver high quality creative play opportunities in a safe and caring environment
* Liaise with the Vice Principal (Primary) with regard to the needs of the children who attend the club
Personal Qualities
* GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English Grade C or above.
* Experience of working in a busy environment.
* Patience, kind, caring person, who enjoys working as part of a team
