Overview
South Lanarkshire Council’s Enterprise and Sustainable Development Service is looking to recruit two Project Managers to join their team.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of towns across South Lanarkshire, working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver regeneration across the Council and within our communities.
Supporting the economy through the work of the economic development service is a key Council priority. Major projects include the delivery of town centre masterplans, city deal infrastructure projects, inward investment, and working closely with communities to achieve success. The Council is delivering transformational change in partnership with groups and organisations to achieve our common goals on behalf of communities.
Based within Community and Enterprise Resources, with a Council-wide influence, the opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking Project Manager to help set and maintain our strategic direction within this agenda, alongside leading a small team of experienced and dedicated economic development professionals.
You will have a genuine commitment to economic development with the dedication and drive to really make a difference. You should have experience in economic development and physical regeneration disciplines, with strong leadership and communication skills to engage and inspire others to achieve the Council's ambitions for our town centres. You should be able to navigate challenges and obstacles with determination to find solutions.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage capital and infrastructure projects and explain how your skills make you a suitable candidate for this role.
* Lead a small team of economic development professionals and work with stakeholders to deliver regeneration across towns and communities.
* Contribute to delivery of town centre masterplans, infrastructure projects, inward investment, and related economic development initiatives.
* Collaborate with partners and communities to drive transformational change in line with Council priorities.

* Experience in economic development and physical regeneration.
* Strong leadership and communication skills to engage and inspire others.
* Ability to navigate challenges and find solutions in complex environments.
Location, Hours and Salary
Location: Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0AA
Hours: 35 per week
Work Pattern: Monday – Thursday 8.45am – 4.45pm; Friday 8.45am – 4.15pm
Salary: £52,922 – £57,885
Temporary position: This post is temporary until March 2028
