Job Title: CNC Milling Setter/Operators
Location: Gloucester
Pay Range: £30,339.75 - £36,000.00
Contract Type: Perm
My client a dynamic organization is looking for a CNC machinist to join their team in Gloucester. To work across diverse, high-impact industries such as aerospace, defence, and high-performance automotive. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating a range of milling machines, primarily milling centres and routers with Fanuc/Haas controls. You will be expected to ensure the production of high-quality components that meet customer specifications, with a focus on precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities - CNC Milling
1. Set and operate CNC milling machines, primarily Haas and Fanuc-controlled machines.
2. Read and work from technical drawings to ensure proper machine setup and component production.
3. Load and edit NC programs on the machine controls as required.
4. Prepare and load materials and components for machining operations.
5. Ensure work is produced within specified tolerances and quality standards.
6. Perform inspections and measurements on finished components, recording results on in-process inspection sheets.
7. Utilize the ERP system (IFS) for daily responsibilities and tasks.
8. Report any machine or production issues promptly to the Supervisor/Manager.
