The Role
We are seeking an experienced ARC / CCTV Operator to join our Alarm Receiving Centre team.
This is a critical role responsible for monitoring and operating surveillance and alarm systems to ensure the safety and security of our clients’ people, assets and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Surveillance Monitoring
* Operate and monitor CCTV, alarm systems and associated security platforms
* Continuously review live and recorded footage to identify suspicious activity or breaches
* Manage remote access control systems for client premises
Alarm Response and Escalation
* Respond promptly and effectively to alarm activations
* Assess incidents and determine the appropriate course of action
* Liaise with on site teams, emergency services and relevant stakeholders
Incident Reporting
* Accurately record all incidents, actions taken and outcomes
* Produce detailed incident reports for management and client review
Communication
* Maintain clear, professional communication with internal teams and external partners
* Provide timely updates during live incidents
System Oversight
* Conduct routine system checks to ensure equipment functionality
* Escalate technical faults in line with internal procedures
Compliance and Data Protection
* Handle surveillance footage and data securely and in accordance with legal and company requirements
* Adhere to all internal policies and relevant data protection legislation
Skills and Experience
* Valid SIA CCTV Public Space Surveillance licence essential
* Previous experience within an ARC, security operations centre or similar environment highly desirable
* Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
* Calm and decisive under pressure
* Confident communicator, both written and verbal
* Competent in Microsoft Office and security monitoring systems
Screening Requirements
Due to the nature of our business, all successful candidates will be subject to full BS7858 security screening, including verification of a five year employment and address history.
Working Environment
This role is based within a secure Alarm Receiving Centre environment. It involves extended periods of monitoring multiple screens and requires sustained concentration and focus.
Shift Pattern
3 days, 3 nights, 3 days off
0700 to 1900
1900 to 0700
