Solicitor – Court of Protection (Retrain Opportunity)
I’m currently working with a well‑established and supportive law firm in South Manchester who are looking to appoint a Solicitor into their growing Court of Protection team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Solicitor looking to retrain into Court of Protection, with full support, structured training, and exposure to high‑quality work from day one.
The Role
You will join a specialist team handling a range of Court of Protection matters, with a focus on supporting vulnerable clients and managing their financial affairs.
The firm is open to candidates from a range of backgrounds and will provide full training and ongoing supervision to support your transition into this area.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with the management of deputyship files
* Supporting clients who lack capacity with financial decision‑making
* Liaising with families, care providers, and third parties
* Preparing applications to the Court of Protection
* Handling day‑to‑day file management and client communication
* Gradually building your own caseload as you develop
About You
* Open to retraining into Court of Protection / Private Client work
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Empathetic and client‑focused approach
* Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism
* Previous experience in litigation, personal injury, family, or private client is beneficial but not essential
What’s on Offer
* Salary between £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience
