What you'll be doing: Ashtead Technology is seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer to join our dynamic Asset Integrity (AI). In this role, you will be responsible for both external and internal sales activities, including the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for AI. You will serve as a recognised expert in Asset Integrity products and services, driving market development and supporting the sustainable and profitable growth of the business line. Day to day you'll be involved in: Sales Managing client relationships by responding promptly to enquiries, conducting technical meetings, assessing client needs, and collaborating with the Asset Integrity team to develop tailored technical concepts. Collaborating with the broader Asset Integrity team to create high-quality technical proposals. Delivering compelling proposal presentations, clearly communicating key USPs and technical advantages. Coordinating with internal teams and external Ashtead suppliers to verify product specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines. Preparing detailed commercial proposals and participating in internal reviews prior to obtaining management approval. Building and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective clients, including international travel when required. Accurately maintaining sales and enquiry records in NetSuite to ensure transparency and integrity in task completion. Submitting a minimum of seven Client Contact Reports (CCRs) each week to support engagement tracking. Representing Ashtead’s values and culture in all external interactions to strengthen the company’s reputation among customers, partners, and stakeholders. Marketing Maintaining an overview of the market for company products and services, including key clients and competitors Expanding and coordinating products and services within target markets Working with AT marketing team to develop content to promote the company through various channels (social media, press releases, conferences, etc.) Operations Working with the Operations team to support any active projects in whatever capacity required to support the business What experience you'll bring: What will help you to be successful in this role? Degree or HND in a relevant field (e.g.: Electronic or Mechanical Engineering) Survey Engineering/ Surveyor/ Subsea Inspection background Knowledge of Survey and Inspection sensor installation/ operation and data collection Excellent understanding of electronic, electrical, IT and mechanical systems Previous sales experience Proven negotiation and closing skills Able to undertake travel in support of client business development.
