Position: Medical Receptionist
Location: Harley Street
Contract Type: Temporary
Start Date: Monday 15th September
Duration: Initial assignment of 6 to 8 weeks with potential for extension or a permanent opportunity
Rate: £14.50 per hour
About the Role:
As the face of our clinic, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression for our patients and visitors. You will be responsible for managing the front-of-house reception, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet and check-in patients and visitors with a friendly demeanour
2. Manage patient flow efficiently, ensuring timely appointments
3. Answer phone calls and emails, providing necessary information with a smile
4. Liaise with clinicians to facilitate seamless communication
5. Process card payments at reception, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
What We're Looking For:
6. Previous experience in a reception role, ideally within a health care or clinical setting
7. A warm and caring manner that puts patients at ease
8. Excellent communication skills and a professional phone etiquette
9. Strong IT literacy, including experience with booking systems, calendars, and Office/Google applications
10. Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to confidentiality in line with GDPR
11. Comfort in processing payments and handling financial transactions
Shift Details:
We are primarily looking for coverage during the afternoon and evening, with occasional morning shifts to support continuity. The likely hours are:
Monday to Friday: 13:45 - 19:15
Saturdays: 08:15 - 17:15
