A London Insurer are looking for a DBA to support and maintain the organisation’s data infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, integrity, and security of all database and reporting systems.
Role will be responsible for
* Database Management - Manage and maintain organisational databases to ensure data integrity, availability, and optimal performance.
* Database Security - Monitor and maintain database access, permissions, and security controls.
* Backup & Recovery - Ensure database backups are functioning correctly and perform ad hoc backups and restores as required.
* Database Deployments - Support database releases, including running deployment scripts and contributing to continuous improvement of deployment processes
Required Competencies
* Strong knowledge of database systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, and familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
* Strong understanding of cloud-based data solutions, preferably Microsoft Azure.
* Experience maintaining online reporting tools such as Power BI.
* Proficiency in PowerShell for task automation and system management.
* Excellent Transact-SQL (T-SQL) skills.

* Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across IT, Finance, Underwriting, Business Solutions, and Operations.
