2nd Line Support Engineer – Windows & Azure – Immediate / 2 weeks start Location: Colchester (on-site) We’re seeking a skilled 2nd Line Support Engineer with solid experience in Windows Server and Microsoft Azure to join a fast-paced manufacturing company based just outside Colchester. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and supporting critical server infrastructure across both office and production systems, while also helping drive forward IT improvements and supporting ongoing projects. Key Responsibilities: Provide 2nd line support to users across office and manufacturing sites Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) Support and manage cloud-based infrastructure, primarily Microsoft Azure Maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access controls Resolve server, network, and infrastructure issues Support Microsoft 365, business-critical applications, and endpoint security Assist with database administration and SQL Server management Contribute to ongoing IT infrastructure projects and upgrades What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in Windows Server administration and 2nd line support Hands-on experience with Azure services, including VM, AD Sync, and backup Strong Active Directory and Group Policy knowledge Working knowledge of SQL Server and Microsoft 365 environments Solid problem-solving and communication skills Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently on-site Ready to take your next step in IT support?
