Aside from writing beautiful code, we value good communication and astrong initiative, amongst other things.SummaryAs the Full Stack Developer, you will work alongside our engineering team, reporting to the Director of Engineer. The Full Stack Developer will design state-of-the-art back-end systems and services for Electric Vehicle charge points, across multiple languages and frameworks.You will work as part of a cross-discipline engineering team developing IoT products comprising firmware, hardware, cloud servers, mobile apps and websites. You will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of our back- end systems, cloud developments, database structures, internal and external websites and tools and CI/CD pipelines, delivering the most intuitive experience to our customers in respect of their charging of Electric Vehicles.Previous experience of developing production-grade back-end solutions using cloudplatforms and services is essential. You will be at the forefront of design and innovation, not only in our company but also within the Electric Vehicle Charging Industry as a whole. This is an office-based role as you will be expected to work with the technical team and closely liaise with the management. Alongside your development work, you’ll be expected to uphold the detailed level of documentation and reporting that our entire technical team deliver in support of new features and releasesYou Will Need A passion for technologyDegree level education in a field of IT or engineering, or have previously held significant positions in similar rolesExperience working with cloud servers and real-time databases such as GCP, Firebase and AWSExperience of working with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle and Microsoft SQL ServerExperience in developing website and mobile app back-end system solutionsExperience with front-end web developmentExperience of languages and platforms including PHP, Laravel, Java, Javascript, React, HTML and CSSWork collaboratively with firmware and hardware engineers to resolve complex issues through simulation and complex analysis of reported dataAble to design, develop, and work with REST APIs and/or Lambda functionsExperience with architecting microservice solutionsExperience using toolchains which include git source control, JIRA (or similar) and unit testing softwareAn aptitude for problem solvingExcellent verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English languageAt least 3 years’ experience as a full stack developerYour Key Responsibilities Responsible for the architecture, development and maintenance of cloud back- end solutions and infrastructureOwn and manage code quality standardsImplement new development patternsMaintain the devops pipelinesTake a leading role in finding efficient solutions to complex issues and requirementsTake a leading role in the build and testing of new releasesSupport our internal and third party production facilities with issues and improve production test processesProvide 3rd level customer support by investigating bugs and resolving issuesPrioritise work and manage deliveryAdvantageous Skills/ExperienceExperience of developing IoT / Smart Products both mains poweredFamiliarity with home automation platforms and voice assistants such as Google Home and AlexaExperience with E-commerce platforms such as Shopify or BigCommerceHave a keen interest in electric vehicles and the energy industry
