In this role, you'll design, deploy, and manage AWS environments while supporting our transition to a multi-cloud architecture alongside our Azure-skilled team. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, ensuring our cloud platforms are robust, cost-effective, and secure.
What You’ll Do
* AWS Landing Zone & Governance
Build scalable, secure AWS solutions and manage account structures, security baselines, and networking.
* Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Automate resource provisioning using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
* Multi-Cloud Integration
Design hybrid connectivity between AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments, including identity federation.
* Security & Compliance
Apply best practices for IAM, encryption, and unified monitoring across AWS and Azure.
* Monitoring & Optimization
Use tools like CloudWatch, AWS Config, and CloudTrail to optimize performance and costs.
* Incident Response & Troubleshooting
Resolve cloud infrastructure issues and participate in on-call rotations.
* Collaboration
Work closely with networking, security, and application teams for seamless deployments.
You’ll be based at our Severn Trent Centre head office in Coventry. You’ll work within our Hosting Services team of 14. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Monday to Friday with some on call working.

Technical Skills and Experience
* AWS Core Services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudWatch.
* Networking: VPC design, VPN, Direct Connect, DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls.
* Automation: Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines.
* Security: AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, IAM policies, encryption, audits, regulatory compliance.
* Multi-Cloud Exposure: Azure fundamentals (Resource Groups, Entra ID, VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN, Monitor etc).
* Scripting: Terraform, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
* Monitoring: CloudWatch, Azure Monitor.
