Job Overview
Sexual Health Nurse – Sexual Health Dumfries and Galloway (D&G), NHS Dumfries and Galloway.
Responsibilities
* Manage clients within the department in all aspects of sexual health, including contraception, sexually transmitted infections and partner notification.
* Provide high quality, non‑judgemental care to patients in a supportive setting.
* Work collaboratively with senior clinical staff and the wider multidisciplinary team.
* Contribute to continuous professional development and improvement of services.
Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse or Midwife.
* Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health Care.
* Experience working in a sexual health setting.
* Ideal: National Medical Practitioner (NMP) qualification, or willingness to undertake it.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Non‑judgemental attitude and high motivation towards CPD.
* Ability to work as part of a team and flexible working arrangements.
Working Hours
The role may be offered on a job share basis; more than one candidate may be appointed to cover all hours. Applicants can apply for between 7.5 and 30 hours per week and should specify their preferred number of hours.
