You are the engine behind Först performance.
You are responsible for making sure every machine that comes through the workshop leaves performing exactly as it should. Every repair, every service, every inspection reflects the standard Först is known for.
Customers trust Först because our machines perform. They stay with Först because of the service we provide.
In this role, you will service, maintain and repair machines within the workshop environment. You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs and prepare machines for hire, demonstration and return to customers. Your technical ability, attention to detail and pride in your work will ensure every machine leaves you ready to perform.
Your goal is simple: deliver workshop standards that keep machines running at their best.
Key Responsibilities
Servicing, Repairs & Diagnostics
* Carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic diagnostics and repairs on plant and machinery.
* Complete servicing and maintenance to ensure machines are operating at peak performance.
* Identify faults quickly and carry out effective, lasing repairs.
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with strong attention to detail.
Workshop Operations
* Work within the workshop to manage repairs, servicing and machine preparation efficiently.
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
* Ensure all work is completed in line with Först standards and processes.
Hire, Loan & Demonstration Machines
* Carry out pre-hire inspections and servicing of hire machines.
* Inspect returned hire and loan machines, identifying damage and completing the relevant documentation.
* Prepare machines for re-hire, ensuring they are clean, safe and ready to perform.
* Clean, inspect and prepare demonstration machines for the Sales Team.
Quality & Attention to Detail
* Take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship on every job.
* Ensure machines are fully checked and tested before leaving the workshop.
* Complete all job records and paperwork accurately and on time.
Service Excellence
* Work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
* Approach every job with a solutions-focused mindset
* Support the wider team to ensure machines are ready and customers are supported.

Key Experience Needed:
* Strong mechanical knowledge with relevant qualifications or equivalent experience
* Experience working with plant, machinery or similar mechanical equipment
* Experience working in a workshop environment
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
* Experience carrying out servicing, machinery and repairs
* Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards
