Joining us on a full-time permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £25,299 per annum.Core hours are 37 per week.As the Tankered Waste Operative you will be responsible for the the tankered waste facility within our Sewage Treatment Site.*Applicants must be local to OR within 30 minutes of Hayle, Cornwall
Duties:
1. Monitor commercial tankered waste import activities to ensure compliance with company policy, processes, and regulatory permits
2. Undertake checks, completion of and storage of Waste Transfer Notes
3. Reject loads that do not comply with regulated permit conditions and EWC codes, notify the tankered waste management team and complete required documentation
4. Undertake routine sampling, including the completion of documentations required for submission to Countess Wear Laboratory
5. Notify Site Manager or Pilot immediately should waste being discharged that contravenes the site permit
6. Undertake basic maintenance activities around the tankered waste area to ensure the area is always clean, tidy and safe
7. Comply with company policies and procedures
8. Support site team to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the treatment process and whole site
9. Work in a manner that keeps you and those around you safe
10. Apply and maintain high levels of Health, Safety and Welfare to all tasks undertaken
What we are looking for:
11. 5 GCSEs A-C grade or equivalent in Maths, English and a Science subject
12. Technical training in waste water treatment/engineering/operation would be beneficial
13. Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal
14. A flexible approach to workload and working hours
15. Prepared to travel throughout the region
16. Full UK Drivers Licence
17. Happy working outside in all conditions!
