We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Oakwood, a category C prison located in Wolverhampton.
HMP Oakwood is one of the largest prisons in the UK, housing over 1,500 men.

* Hours: 24 hours (shift pattern: Wk1: Thurs 19:45‑07:15, Fri 19:45‑07:45 & Sat 19:45‑10:75; Wk2: Thurs 19:45‑07:15 & Fri 19:45‑07:45; Wk3: Thurs 19:45‑07:15 & Fri 19:45‑07:45; Wk4: Thurs 19:45‑07:15 & Fri 19:45‑07:45)
* Salary: £43,173‑49,175 per annum (pro‑rata based on 24 hours), depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions.
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
* Use skills and knowledge to deliver nurse‑led clinics to the patient group, supported by a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Provide outstanding evidence‑based care, seeking, listening to and acting on patient feedback so care is personalised.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care that makes a real difference.
* Inspire excellence by forging strong links with partners and stakeholders.
* Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence‑based care, and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning.
* Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi‑disciplinary teams.
Success in This Role
* Registered nurse adult, NMC.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Understanding of complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working.
* A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (not essential).
