Salary/Rate £12.21 per hour

* Locations: East London locations, Newham, Greater London

* Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 15:00 (5 hours per day), no weekends

We are currently recruiting Care Workers / Support Workers to join our agency team and work in a Day Care Centre in East London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate genuine compassion and commitment to empowering service users, helping them make their own decisions and maintain as much independence and autonomy as possible.

About the Role

As a Support Worker in a Day Care setting, you will be supporting adults with autism, learning difficulties, and other additional needs. Your day-to-day duties will include:

* Encouraging and empowering service users to be independent and make choices.

* Supporting service users with daily activities both within the centre and in the community.

* Taking groups on fun and meaningful outings such as trips to the park, museums, swimming, and day trips.

* Organising indoor activities when the weather isn’t suitable for outdoor trips.

* Promoting wellbeing, inclusion, and a safe environment at all times.

* Working as part of a supportive and caring team.

Requirements

To apply for this role, you must have:

* At least 12 months previous experience working in adult care setting in the UK

* Right to Work in the UK.

* A valid Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service is desirable).

* Up-to-date Mandatory Training Certificates (e.g., First Aid, Manual Handling, Safeguarding Adults/Children and many more).

* Experience using a hoist to monouver service users safely.

* Ability to conduct Risk Assessments
