Hours: 30 hours per week

ROTA: Flexible Monday–Friday, with some evenings or weekends as required

Duration: Fixed term until 31st May 2026 with a view to extending for a further 12 months.

About Our Place Support At Our Place Support, we are dedicated to helping individuals make positive changes in their lives and building strong resilient communities. Established in 2011 we take a whole-person, assetbased approach—meeting people where they are, listening to their needs, and providing bespoke support that leads to sustainable outcomes. Purpose of the Role As Connected Communities Coordinator you will provide leadership and operational oversight of the Connected Communities project, coordinating staff and resources, liaising with partners, and supporting the project reporting requirements.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Coordinate project workers with the support of management, hold regular 1:1s and team meetings.

• Planning & Reporting: Coordinate the delivery of the project plan; track milestones and produce progress reports.

• Partnership Working: Build on our strong partner agency approach to network and collaborate with community organisations, local authorities and community representatives in relation to the Connected Communities project.

• Event Oversight: Coordinate community listening sessions, focus-group workshops, and steering-group meetings.

• Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback, facilitate lessons-learned reviews, and embed best practice.

• Safeguarding: Ensure the safety of citizens and team members.

• Collaborative Work: Regularly collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.

• Policy Adherence: Follow all Our Place Support policies and procedures.

• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required. Commitment to Our Place Support

• Be open to constructive feedback from staff, volunteers, and service users.

• Promptly report any safeguarding or operational concerns.

Person Specification

Personal Qualities and Skills

• To be highly organised and self-motivated.

• To be a natural, genuine and consistent person.

• To value honesty and have patience. Qualifications and Experience Essential

• 18 Years and above.

• Pass qualification in English and Numeracy.

• Good knowledge or qualification in IT including Excel, Word and email.

• Experience coordinating community projects or services.

• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to support and motivate a small team.

• Experience of partnership working with community organisations, local authorities, or statutory services.

• Commitment to inclusive practice and working with marginalised communities.

• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends.

• Ability to support peers in a team environment.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Excellent organisation skills.

• Lived experience of, or strong understanding of, Deaf BSL, Gypsy, Roma, Traveller, or LGBTQ+ communities.

• Knowledge of asset-based community development approaches.

• Experience gathering and presenting project data, feedback, and outcomes.

• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.

• Access to transport is desirable due to citywide working.
