Mortgage Adviser For Freelancers and Business Owners
Location: 67 Bird Hall Lane, Cheadle Heath, Stockport, SK3 0XA
Salary: £25,500–£30,000 per year (pro-rata for 40 hours)
£13 to £15 per hour depending on experience
Hours: 24–25 hours per week, in person
About the Role
Mondo Mortgages is seeking a highly organised, people-focused and genuinely proactive Personal Assistant & Mortgage Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our growing brokerage. We are specifically looking for someone who doesn’t wait to be told what to do, but instead takes ownership, spots what needs doing and gets ahead of tasks before they become problems.
You’ll assist the Director and adviser team with admin, client communication, CRM management and operational support to keep everything running smoothly. This is a part-time, in‑person role with clear potential to grow into a full‑time position as the business expands. For the right person, there is also genuine long‑term progression into senior operations roles or even becoming a qualified mortgage adviser, with training and support available.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide organised, proactive PA support to the Director
* Manage calendars, inboxes, follow‑ups and task prioritisation
* Coordinate team meetings, adviser training sessions and business events
* Handle enquiries relating to telecoms, IT, HR, payroll, pensions and software
* Act as a key point of contact for clients, advisers and external partners
* Handle sensitive information confidentially
* Liaise with clients, lenders and solicitors to collect documents and progress cases
* Create client files and prepare documentation for external compliance audits
* Manage the mortgage/protection CRM systems (Smartr365 & Go High Level)
* Ensure all case notes, compliance records and updates are accurate and FCA‑compliant
* Manage leads and book appointments into advisers’ diaries
* Collate fact‑find details and prepare case summaries
* Answer phone calls and respond to client queries
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, advisers and partners
* Assist clients with onboarding, documentation and updates
* Review company social media to ensure on‑brand messaging
* Support the marketing team with ideas, deadlines and progress tracking
* Assist with event planning and execution
* Help put together financial information, send invoices and chase payments where needed
* Use online project management tools to organise tasks
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Proven experience as a Personal Assistant, Office Manager, or Mortgage Administrator
* Naturally proactive attitude – anticipate needs, take initiative and stay ahead of tasks
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills
* High attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
* Confidentiality and professionalism
* Full UK driving licence and ability to travel for events
* Experience with Smartr365, Go High Level, or Twenty7Tec
* Experience in mortgages, insurance or financial services
* PA diploma / certification (preferred)
