About the Role You will play a vital role in the smooth and safe running of the Science faculty. Working closely with the Head of Department, teachers, and fellow technicians, you will prepare practical experiments for Biology, Chemistry and Physics, ensuring resources are ready, accurate, and safe for student use. This includes preparing chemical solutions, organising equipment trays, calibrating apparatus, and ensuring all materials are in place before lessons begin. Your responsibilities will also include: Maintaining labs, prep rooms, equipment and storage spaces Ensuring all chemicals and equipment follow COSHH and health & safety guidelines Managing stock levels, placing orders, and monitoring deliveries Supporting teachers during demonstrations and practical activities Keeping up-to-date risk assessments and maintaining safety documentation This is a role that requires organisation, initiative, and a friendly, supportive manner.
