Middlesex Carpentry Limited is a well-established carpentry firm based in Stow cum Quy, Cambridge. We specialise in carpentry for large-scale projects, working primarily with Tier 1 main contractors on first and second fix carpentry, fire doors, and other large-scale installations. We are seeking a reliable and organised part-time bookkeeper to help us manage our financial records.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who can work independently and is comfortable with a flexible schedule. While the initial workload is approximately two hours per week, there will be an opportunity for additional hours initially to help us get our accounts in order.
Responsibilities
* Processing and organising invoices on a weekly basis.
* Allocating invoices and expenses to specific projects.
* Reconciling bank statements and managing accounts payable/receivable.
* Keeping track of upcoming payments and ensuring they are made on time.
* Maintaining accurate financial records and reports.
Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar financial role.
* Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is highly desirable.
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
