Teaching Assistant
Speldhurst Church of England Primary School is looking to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who has the ability to inspire, motivate and provide one-to-one support for a KS1.

We are looking for an enthusiastic one-to-one teaching assistant who can hit the ground running to support a KS1 pupil. You will have a passion for working with children and an interest in working with SEN pupils. You may have experience of working in a Nursery, Reception or KS1, either with small groups or in supporting individual pupils. The post is full-time 9.00am to 3.30pm daily. 
Experience is an advantage but consideration will also be given to candidates with relevant skills. 
The ideal candidate will be a well organised practitioner who is able to use their own initiative and also be able to work as part of a team. You will be flexible in your approach, completely reliable and always enthusiastic and positive.
Having a working knowledge of the EYFS and experience with pre-school children would be a great advantage. Empathy and an ability to establish good working relationships with staff, parents and pupils are essential.
Necessary Experience:
 1. Good standard of education
 2. Strong ICT skills
 3. The ability to take responsibility for an individual SEN pupil one-to-one.
 4. Evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Experience:
 5. Previous experience as a TA, in a nursery or in supporting pupils with SEN needs
 6. Knowledge of EYFS/KS1
Qualifications:
Any of the following would be welcomed:
Teaching Assistant Level 3
Nursery nurse qualifiction in childcare or Early Years such as a CACHE Diploma in Early Years Education and Care or a BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development
Degree in Early Childhood Studies/Education
Teaching Qualification
Experience as a KS1 Teaching Assistant
Visits to the school are encouraged
