Job Purpose
* Strip down and assess pumps for repair.
* Work with admin staff and the Workshop Supervisor.
* Complete Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and related documentation.
Responsibilities
* Assess pump repairs and determine required spare parts.
* Rebuild pumps as needed.
* Communicate with internal teams.
* Join the on-call team (typically 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 weeks).
* Visit customer sites and other workshops for support.
* Ensure accurate and timely assessments of pumps.
* Maintain high standards in health, safety, environment, and housekeeping.
* Contribute to continuous improvement in processes.
* Be willing to work away from home if needed.
Requirements
Essential:
* Full UK driving licence.
* Mechanical apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Experience with pump repair and general engineering.
* Knowledge of engineering measuring equipment.
* Health & safety training.
Desirable:
* Electrical training.
* BTEC National Certificate/Advanced Diploma.
* Safety passport.
* Pump OEM training.
* Experience with laser alignment and site work.
* Ability to write failure reports and quotations for clients.
* Experience liaising with site engineers/managers.
