Job Title: M&E Project Engineer Location: Office / Site (50/50 split) Salary: Up to £50,000 £5,000 Car Allowance Benefits Reports to: Contract Manager Overview Our client, a respected specialist delivering complex construction and refurbishment projects across the UK-particularly within live hospital environments -is seeking a driven and technically confident M&E Project Engineer. The role offers a balanced mix of office-based coordination and on-site involvement, supporting projects from design through to commissioning and handover. Key Responsibilities Plan and coordinate M&E elements of construction and refurbishment projects Carry out site surveys and produce technical documentation (drawings, RAMS, reports) Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain progress Support commissioning, testing, witnessing, and system sign-off Review drawings/specifications, identifying risks and value-engineering opportunities Maintain all project documents, including RAMS, O&M manuals, and progress reports Ensure full compliance with CDM, H&S requirements, and company quality procedures Assist with procurement, scheduling, logistics, and subcontractor coordination Attend project meetings and deliver accurate progress updates Support handover, client demonstrations, and completion documentation Requirements Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or Construction Engineering 2 years' experience in M&E project engineering, construction management, or commissioning Strong understanding of M&E building systems and technical drawings Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel nationwide CSCS card desirable Confident across MS Office; AutoCAD/Revit experience is a bonus Client & Stakeholder Engagement Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants and internal teams Represent the business professionally on-site and in meetings Maintain clear communication across commercial and operational functions Personal Qualities Proactive, detail-focused, and self-motivated Comfortable working independently or within multidisciplinary teams Calm, professional, and solutions-driven Committed to high standards of safety, quality, and delivery What's on Offer Salary up to £50,000 £5,000 car allowance BUPA Health Cover Life Insurance Pension scheme 23 days holiday bank holidays Day off for your birthday Additional day off for Mental Health Awareness Supportive team culture with genuine progression opportunities Exposure to technically challenging, high-impact M&E projects nationwide
