Overview
We're excited to be hiring Senior Social Workers to join our C-SPA (Children's Single Point of Access) service, the 'Front Door' to children's services in Surrey. The C-SPA ensures the correct level of support and intervention is provided for safeguarding referrals. Surrey Children's Services emphasises timely and proportionate responses and uses the authority's continuum of need guidance to inform decision-making.
Our C-SPA roles are front-facing and based on strong relationships with families and partners. We use motivational approaches and the Family Safeguarding Model to engage with families and networks, to understand presenting worries and determine whether a statutory social work service is required. The Senior Social Worker in the Multi-Agency Team supports front-door activity, gathering information and making enquiries to inform threshold decisions about the appropriate level of support.
