This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing a complex finance function and ensuring robust financial management and control across the organisation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing systems, embedding effective policies and processes, and delivering a proactive business partnering model to support strategic decision-making.

Job Title: Head of Finance
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £72,000 per annum
Location: Huntingdon, hybrid with two days in the office per week.
Direct Reports: Team of seven
As Head of Finance, you will play a vital role as a member of the Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic direction of the Trust while fostering a culture of empowerment, innovation, and engagement. You will lead a team of seven finance professionals and report directly to the Finance Director.
Your responsibilities will include the preparation of statutory accounts and statutory reporting, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors. You will oversee all aspects of financial management, reporting, and financial control, ensuring that processes are robust and compliant. In addition, you will manage treasury functions and contribute significantly to governance and risk management across the organisation.
This is a strategic and hands-on role, requiring a strong leader who can drive improvements in systems and processes, embed effective policies, and deliver high-quality financial services through a business partnering approach. Your work will support informed decision-making and help the Trust achieve its long-term goals.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Hold a full, relevant professional finance qualification – ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent,
* Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
* In-depth knowledge of finance within registered providers of social housing (essential)
* Have up to date knowledge of current accounting standards and practices, including requirements under FRS102.
* A good working knowledge of the charity sector (desirable)
