Job Title DESIGN CONSULTANT
Location: CENTRAL LONDON (OLD STREET) – Flexibility for Yorkshire / Leeds / Manchester based candidates who are happy to travel to their West Yorkshire HQ

My client is a global, design‑led manufacturer recognised for their innovative, sustainable and visually striking acoustic and architectural solutions used across commercial, workplace, education and hospitality projects worldwide. They are seeking a talented, detail‑driven Design Consultant to join their growing UK team – someone who thrives on collaboration, creativity and problem‑solving, and who can bridge the gap between inspiration and execution.
You’ll work closely with architects, designers and contractors to bring bespoke concepts to life, ensuring every project not only looks incredible but performs flawlessly. This is a role where design, technology and craftsmanship collide and where your ideas will genuinely shape the spaces people work, learn and live in.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with the sales and specification teams to design, develop and specify tailored solutions into live projects
* Attend client and A&D meetings, interpreting creative briefs and offering design and technical advice
* Develop stunning yet practical design proposals that balance creativity, cost and manufacturability
* Prepare clear, accurate drawings and documentation for presentation and approval
* Produce detailed technical, installation and production drawings for bespoke projects
* Conduct site visits, liaising with installers and contractors to ensure flawless execution
* Oversee the design process from concept through to delivery, maintaining brand and quality standards throughout
* Create manufacturing packs, bills of materials and production files for custom projects
* Work hand‑in‑hand with the production team on prototypes and sample development
* Ensure all design details are translated effectively into the finished product
* Experiment with materials, processes and finishes to push creative boundaries
* Share knowledge and design insights with international colleagues across the business
* Provide market feedback and influence the ongoing evolution of new products and systems
Skills, Experience & Attributes
* Qualification in Design, Architecture or Industrial Design (degree or diploma level)
* 2‑4 years’ experience within industrial, interior or architectural design
* Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit or similar 3D design tools
* Understanding of CNC manufacturing and digital fabrication techniques preferred
* Competence in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) desirable
* Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and visual
* Highly organised, detail‑orientated and comfortable juggling multiple live projects
* Confident engaging with architects, designers and contractors at all levels
* Positive, proactive and calm under pressure with a collaborative mindset and professional polish
