We’re seeking an organised, curious and collaborative individual to join WCVA as a Digital Project Officer, supporting the delivery of Newid: Digital for the Third Sector. This is an exciting opportunity to play a role in helping voluntary organisations across Wales make better use of digital to strengthen their impact and resilience.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across workstreams, improving systems and processes, and supporting others to achieve their goals. You’ll work closely with the Digital Skills Manager and partners from Cwmpas and ProMo Cymru, contributing to a varied programme of activities including events, training, grants and digital support – all aimed at enabling the third sector in Wales to make a bigger difference together.

£34,285 increasing to £35,313 per annum following successful completion of a probationary period.
12 months fixed term – with possibility of extension
WCVA provides a contribution of 9% of your annual salary to its approved pension scheme.
Base and flexibility: We embrace hybrid and flexible working. You'll have the option to work remotely (including from home) or at our office hubs located in Aberystwyth and Cardiff, and across North Wales where we hire small community spaces to bring staff together. There are no mandated office days beyond key meetings and specific team requirements.
About the role:
The aim of this post is to support the work of Newid: Digital for the third Sector. Newid is delivered in partnership by WCVA, Cwmpas and ProMo-Cymru, and is funded by Welsh Government. We promote good digital practice across the third sector in Wales. We do this by providing training, support and information.
As we begin our next delivery period of the project (2026 -2029), we are looking for a new Digital Project Officer to join us at WCVA. This is a new role that will work closely with the Digital Skills Manager to develop and provide support for the voluntary sector in Wales with digital.

Our Digital Project Officer will become a member of our Newid operational team, with colleagues from WCVA, Cwmpas and ProMo Cymru. We work collaboratively to develop and deliver a varied programme of activities to support the fast-changing needs of the sector in Wales. The new Digital Projects Officer will play a key role in maintaining and developing our project systems, co-ordinating the Newid Small Grant Scheme, and supporting the delivery of WCVA’s Newid activities.
