Role Overview
Rolls-Royce Submarines is seeking a Head of Capability for their Engineering for Services Division. The company is a world leader in nuclear power and propulsion products, supporting all lifecycle phases of their products and programmes.
The Head of Capability is responsible for defining, maintaining, and improving engineering skills and capabilities supporting in-service products. You will lead a team of 12 senior managers, overseeing nearly 3,000 engineers, with a focus on nuclear products and programmes across all lifecycle phases, ensuring safety and mission-critical power and propulsion for military and civilian clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership in capability development and deployment throughout the engineering lifecycle.
* Create and maintain strategic workforce plans aligned with the company's strategy.
* Own and execute the capability strategy and roadmap.
* Develop and maintain capability taxonomy to ensure sufficient skills and expertise.
