Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled SEN KS3 Teacher to join a dedicated secondary school team. This role is ideal for an educator who thrives on supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and is committed to inclusive, high-quality teaching. The post involves 11 KS3 pupils with a wide range of needs (PMLD-MLD), supported by 3 Teaching Assistants, following a differentiated National Curriculum. Starting November 2025.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS3 curriculum, adapted to meet the needs of students with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, moderate learning difficulties).
* Develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with the SENCo, teaching assistants and external professionals.
* Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum and achieve progress.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers and colleagues.
* Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that fosters confidence, independence and social development.
Ideal SEN KS3 Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching KS3 students, ideally within an SEN or inclusive setting.
* Strong understanding of current SEN strategies and inclusive classroom practices.
* Excellent communication, organisational and teamworking skills as SEN KS3 Teacher.
* Patience, empathy and the ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
