Spanish, Italian or French speaking International Business Development Manager
Location:
Remote - international travel expected 3 days a week ( Europe). Work from home / remote work when not travelling. Occasional visits required to the Head Office in Blackburn, Lancashire ( NW England) - a mandatory 1st month of the job in the office is required for initial induction to the role
Language Requirements:
Fluency in English and also fluency in either Spanish, Italian or French essential

Our client is a leading engineering company, designing and manufacturing solutions that are successfully implemented into some of the world's leading food and drink, chemical and pharmaceutical companies across Europe.
The Role:
As the International Business Development Manager you will have the full remit to continue and develop sales growth across the European markets (mostly France, Benelux, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Greece). You will typically manage and successfully develop key business relationships with international customers and representatives and strategically develop the business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Generate customer engagement and build deep, long-term commercial relationships
2. Manage and improve existing agents and distributors
3. Appoint new partners where coverage is lacking
4. Support and develop agents on technical and commercial matters
5. Develop direct relationships with key customers.
6. Identify and win new business across your territories.
7. Work with internal engineering teams to ensure proposals are technically and commercially sound
8. Undertake structured market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
9. Represent the company at trade shows and industry exhibitions on a regular basis
Candidate Profile:
10. Fluency in English and also fluency in either Spanish, Italian or French is essential. Other languages are an advantage
11. Experience selling engineered or technical products.
12. Background in manufacturing or engineering environments.
13. Comfortable working with agents as well as dealing directly with customers.
14. Able to handle both technical discussions and commercial negotiation.
15. Experience developing international markets.
16. Previous experience in B2B sales of high value-added technical products within export markets
17. Strong communication and persuasion capability
18. Entrepreneurial mindset with a pioneering approach to market development
19. Excellent negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
20. Committed and enthusiastic with a proven ability to develop opportunities from prospect through to completion.
21. Capable of operating independently with full accountability for territory performance.
Salary & Benefits:
Negotiable - base salary £50,000 - £80,000 + 30k annual bonus linked to KPI’s + benefits
