Overview
Knavesmire Primary School is looking to appoint a caring and dedicated person to support all aspects of the out of school care provision for pupils. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high quality care and provision for children attending the Knavesmire Cool Kids Club (KCKC), ensuring the provision is a warm, fun and supportive place to be. They will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils and delivering engaging activities under the guidance of the After School and Holiday Club Manager.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of high quality out of school care for pupils at KCKC.
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils during before/after school care and holiday clubs.
* Deliver engaging activities under the guidance of the After School and Holiday Club Manager.
* Communicate effectively with pupils, parents/carers and staff.
Qualifications
* Experience of working with children or young people in a play work or educational setting, delivering engaging activities.
* Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
* A qualification in childcare would be an advantage.
* Additional qualifications in food hygiene and first aid are desirable; training will be provided if not held.
Details
* Hours: 19.75 hours per week (7.45am to 9.15am Monday to Friday and 3.00pm to 6.15pm, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday; 3.00pm to 5.30pm on Wednesday during term time; timetabled across the week during school holidays).
* Location: York area (school-based)
* Contract: relevant to school provision; refer to the posting for specifics.
