Our Wealth and Personal Banking business supports millions of individuals, families, business owners, investors, and entrepreneurs worldwide. We provide products and services including current accounts, credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, savings, investments, insurance, and wealth management. We also have specialized relationship managers supporting high net worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
The UK Marketing function focuses on supporting the Bank's strategic and revenue growth priorities by delivering fair outcomes for customers. It emphasizes understanding customers and developing brand marketing strategies, campaigns, and activities that strengthen the HSBC brand, support revenue growth, and enhance customer satisfaction to meet market targets and objectives.
We are seeking a Head of Social Media responsible for shaping and executing our content strategy. You will lead a team of social media specialists and content creators, driving engagement, growing brand awareness, and building an active and loyal community across all core social platforms.
In this role, you will:
* Lead the development and execution of our social media and content strategy across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
* Manage a team of social media managers and collaborate with content creators and designers (internally & externally) to produce high-quality, engaging content.
* Create and oversee content calendars aligned with the marketing plan, ensuring consistent brand messaging and tone.
* Analyze social media metrics to track performance, optimize campaigns, and present insights.
* Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging platforms, and new technologies to keep our brand at the forefront of digital marketing.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including brand, acquisition, design, and product to develop content supporting brand campaigns and goals.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
* Experience in content and social media marketing across all channels and categories, with a proven track record.
* Strong focus on delivering campaigns on time and within budget.
* Strategic thinking capability with innovative ideas for creators and brand growth.
* Passion for understanding and meeting customer needs.
* Flexible and adaptable management style with experience in developing yourself and others.
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
This role is based in Birmingham, Chester, Sheffield, Leeds.
