The job itself
Futures+ is one of East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s specialist adult services, supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism who have high acuity and complex needs. We are passionate about enabling people to live fulfilling lives, promoting independence, wellbeing, and meaningful community inclusion.
Our service is delivered through two specialist hubs:
* Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) Hub
* Community Inclusion Hub
Working across these hubs, our social workers collaborate closely with a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team, including Enabling and Transitioning Officers, Independence and Wellbeing Officers, Technical Assistants, and an Autism Engagement Officer. Together, we undertake strengths-based assessments and co-produce personalised care and support packages that reflect individuals’ goals, aspirations, and needs.
Following the successful introduction of the Review 100 project, which plays a key role in meeting our statutory responsibilities, we are looking to recruit two experienced social workers to join this workstream. We are offering:
* 1 x full-time temporary post
This post is funded for an initial nine-month period, with the potential for extension subject to funding.
Secondment applications are welcomed. If you would like to apply for this post through a secondment, please ensure you have your line manager’s approval before submitting your application.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking, values-led service where your expertise will make a real difference to people’s lives, while being supported by a committed and collaborative team.
