Your new role Short-term interim assignment, HR Advisor / ER Advisor - up to £170 per day. Onsite Cheltenham office. This interim assignment will suit an experienced Interim HR Officer / HR Advisor who can hit the ground running in the provision of hands-on, operational HR support within an education organisation in Cheltenham on a temporary basis (initially until July 2026). This is a visible, on-site role. You will be the trusted advisor, delivering practical, day-to-day employee relations support to leaders and employees. You will support managers and staff daily, ensuring people's issues are managed effectively and proactively. Key responsibilities will include: Manage employee relations casework, including absence, return to work interviews and probation reviews Support short and long-term absence management, including welfare contact and fit note monitoring Provide practical guidance to line managers on day-to-day people issues Support low-level case management and informal capability concerns Ensure policies are applied consistently and documentation is maintained Act as a visible HR presence, building trust and identifying emerging issues proactively Provide clear insight to leadership on staff wellbeing, morale and risk What you'll need to succeed You will be experienced in operational HR. This interim assignment will suit a confident professional well versed in managing employee relations casework. Pragmatic, approachable and solutions-focused. Comfortable working on-site and building relationships at all levels.
