Bildeston Primary School Address: Newberry Road, Bildeston, Ipswich, Suffolk IP7 7ES Salary: £30,060 pro rata Hours: 19hours per week, 8.30 -12pm Monday – Friday, plus 1.5 hrs planning Contract: Temporary until August 2026 in first instance, to start February. Reference: 8270 Required to start after February half term, a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to support the teaching in our R/Y1 and Y1/Y2 classes. This will support us to split the children into their separate year groups for maths and phonics. There may be need to cover a class during periods of short-term absence. When whole class cover is not required, you will provide support to raise standards of achievement for all pupils by working in class, with individuals or groups of pupils. You will: have the Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent experience and suitable qualifications in English and mathematics be experienced in working in a primary school setting have regularly delivered whole class or group teaching, both from own and school planning be confident in positive classroom management have a good understanding of how children learn and can be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the children be able to model excellent communication and liaise closely with teachers and other staff have good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
