Job Specification
* Pharmacy Technician (Must hold suitable UK certificate and be GPhC registered)
* Will be some dispensing medications as prescribed in a busy and fast paced healthcare environment
* Reviewing prescriptions to ensure accuracy and to evaluate their suitability for the patient
* Providing information and advice about drugs, their side effects, correct dosage and proper storage
* Providing other health advice, such as guidance on stopping smoking, vaccination etc
* Keeping records such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, and registries of poisons, narcotics or controlled drugs
* Ordering and receiving pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies
* Maintaining stock and storing and handling it properly
* Significant involvement in the running of the dispensary and pharmacy
* Significant involvement in delivering patient services in the pharmacy consultation room (Blood pressure, vaccinations, stop smoking services etc)
* Significant involvement with branch leadership and problem solving
Experience:
* Min 12 months previous experience in community pharmacy
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Problem solver
