Goodman Precision Engineering Ltd, based in Milton Keynes, manufacture high precision CNC milled and turned components from solid and cast in wide range of metals and plastics. We supply across a variety of industry sectors including Motor sport, Automotive and Industrial. At our core is an established customer base within F1 and the specialist performance car industry, where we low volume and short lead times are our specialty.
We have an opportunity for an CNC Offline Programmer to produce code for our range of 3 and 5 axis milling machines to join the team.
The successful candidate will hold an integral role within the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing team, ensuring a smooth and efficient running of the manufacturing process. You will be responsible for creating effective work holding, selecting efficient tooling strategies and preparing production documentation for the shop floor. You will also be an effective communicator, liaising regularly with the machine shop to understand and resolve technical concerns.
Skills and Experience required:
· Experienced CNC Offline programmer from a fast-paced environment. Preferably within a precision engineering CNC milling and turning industry such as Motorsport, Automotive or Aerospace
· An excellent working knowledge of CAD CAM software applications. Preferably HyperMill
· Previous experience as timed served CNC machine Setter/Operator
· Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of tooling and cutting conditions for a wide range of metals and plastics
· Excellent communication skills and PC literacy
· Work efficiently to tight deadlines with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Day - 08:00 – 16:30, Monday – Thursday. 08:00 - 15:30, Friday
