Join to apply for the SEN / SEND Tutor, Worcestershire role at Targeted Provision. Core subject tutors (Maths, English, or Science) are sought to work with young people with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs in Worcestershire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
Targeted Provision is on a mission to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN/SEND and other needs. We work to keep the team around the child and provide support throughout every placement with our SEN / SEND Support Specialists. This role is suitable for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who prefer 1:1 tutoring with a variety of learning needs in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner.

Responsibilities
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support young people referred by local authorities and schools in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session and deliver engaging, needs-based sessions
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status / QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance with cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments
It is a strict requirement to work in a way that promotes the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and to follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Employment Status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker to provide short-term engagements as they arise
* You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE
* We do not offer a fixed amount of work or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
