A successful and growing Kent-based SME operating across the commercial sector, with a strong track record delivering high-quality projects within healthcare and education. Our schemes typically range from £500k to £5m and are a mix of new build, refurbishment and complex live-environment projects. With continued growth and a strong pipeline across Kent and London, we are now seeking a talented Estimator to join our commercial team in this newly created role.
Your new role
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who wants to take ownership, influence project outcomes early, and work closely with an experienced Commercial Manager in a friendly, fast-moving SME environment.You'll be involved from first enquiry through to tender submission, playing a pivotal role in shaping winning bids and contributing to ongoing commercial strategy.
Duties
1. Prepare accurate and competitive tenders across healthcare and education projects
2. Carry out detailed take-offs, cost analysis and subcontractor comparisons
3. Liaise closely with the Commercial Manager on tender strategy and pricing
4. Issue enquiries, manage subcontractor communications and validate returned quotations
5. Evaluate risk, produce value engineering options and challenge design where appropriate.
