2nd Line IT Technician Newcastle-under-Lyme (Office-based) £25,000 – £30,000 Full-time | Mon–Fri (No on-call) About the Role An exciting opportunity to join a growing, close-knit technology business based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This is a hands-on IT support role where you’ll be working across a wide range of technologies, supporting local SME clients and getting involved in everything from day-to-day troubleshooting through to system setups and deployments. What You’ll Be Doing * Providing 1st / 2nd line IT support to users * Supporting and administering Microsoft 365 environments * Setting up users, devices and permissions * Troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues * Supporting LAN, VPN and connectivity issues * Assisting with device builds and installations * Working with routers, switches and access points * Providing remote and occasional on-site support What We’re Looking For * At least 1–2 years’ experience in IT support * Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (admin, users, licences) * Experience with Active Directory / Group Policy * Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) * Strong troubleshooting skills * Excellent communication and customer service skills * A proactive, can-do attitude Nice to Have * Experience with firewalls, VPNs or VoIP systems * Exposure to Windows Server or Linux environments * Experience with backup solutions or cloud platforms Why Join? * Small, friendly team environment * No on-call or out-of-hours work * Opportunity to learn across multiple areas of IT * Hands-on role with real variety * Easily accessible location with parking and transport links Interested?
